From the ashes of Linköping’s pioneering punk band, Tings
of London, IQ 55 emerged onto the scene in 1978. Their
compelling performances quickly made them the most
sought-after band in their hometown.
In 1979, IQ 55 recorded their first and only single, ”Livet Är En
Bluff (Balladen)/ Bara Svårigheter,” in Gothenburg. Following
their contribution to the compilation album Arnes Korvbar and
numerous attempts to attract record labels, the band disbanded
in October 1983.
