Vuonna 1978 perustetun korkeatasoisen folkrock-yhtye St. Petersaaren tuotantoa julkaistaan vihdoinkin cd-ajassa.
Tälle koosteelle on sisällytetty mukaan yhtyeen molemmat pitkäsoittolevyt, "Miehen tie" (1980) ja "Tämänkin laulun jälkeen" (1982), sekä singlekappale "Näkemiin matkaaja" (1980). Nämä levytykset yhtye teki Christian Schwindtin luotsaamalle Kompass Recordsille.
Levyn kansibookletista löytyy yhtyeen lauluntekijä-laulajan Kari Ilmosen kirjoittama historiikki bändin vaiheista.
