The Tyyni EP, released on 10-inch vinyl, is Mokoma's third acoustic recording. The 2011 release Varjopuoli has sold gold, and Laulurovio (2016) was also a sales success. The EP was recorded at Sipoo's E-studio in early autumn 2025. Miitri Aaltonen, who previously worked with the band on the 180 degrees album, was in charge of production. As usual, the covers feature Ville Pirinen's graphics and Joonas Brandt's photos. The band's sound is enriched by accordion virtuoso Netta Skog, who is known from gigs and the Laulurovio album. "With our first acoustic album Varjopuoli, we wanted to make a departure from the Unplugged version of the ysäri rockers, but Tyyni started to naturally move towards hardcore grunge. So Tyyni sounds rockier and louder than our previous releases," the band says about the Tyyni EP.
