Queen’s masterpiece, A Night At The Opera, was released on 28th November, 1975. It was the album that cemented the band’s place in the pantheon of supreme rock bands and songwriters, all in one fell swoop.
As one of the most groundbreaking records in rock history, A Night At The Opera blended multiple musical styles, and showcased Queen’s musicianship, ambition and innovation, with “Bohemian Rhapsody” as its centrepiece.
The song defied all convention, combining elements of opera, vaudeville, and rock into a single six minute epic, which Queen released as a single in full, without any edit.
In addition to “Bohemian Rhapsody”, A Night At The Opera also delivered fan-favourite “Love Of My Life” and the single “You’re My Best Friend”, both of which further showcased Queen’s versatility and songwriting range.
